Route Critical Nets in Upper Layers to Fix Timing Issues in Block Level CTS

In this study examines how the microcontroller architectures can be designed to meet the stringent field requirements rather than whether they will arrive. It describes the transition from one to multiple cores in terms of hardware coherence and consistency across various types of shared memory. Additionally, point-to-point synchronization between the processor cores can be achieved by setting up various hardware barriers. A FPGA development board with two hard PowerPC processor cores will be used in the practical tests to demonstrate the logical progression from a single-core computer to a dual- core computer. As demonstrated by extensive benchmarking of all implemented synchronization primitives as well as best and worst-case results, the hardware solutions exhibit the anticipated superiority. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that dual-ported memory performs better than single-ported memory if the many cores use more intelligent address-sensitive locking of shared memory to take advantage of the inherent parallelism.
