Analysis of Dielectric Parameters of XLPE Insulation by Impedance Relaxation Spectroscopy

The paper discusses the analysis of dielectric parameters of XLPE insulation in cables using the impedance relaxation spectroscopy method. It discusses the measurement of individual frequency bands and the measurement methodology on different measuring devices. An analysis of the frequency dependence of the real permittivity and dielectric loss factor of new XLPE insulation samples has been carried out. The measurements were carried out at 10 V. The frequency range used was from 0.1 mHz to 10 kHz for the IDAX 300 and from 10 Hz to 2 MHz for the KEYSIGHT E4980A.
