Grid Forming Inverter Models for Stability Studies

The paper presents inverter-based resource dynamic models. These models are suitable for grid forming inverters and applicable for dynamic stability studies of various types of resources - photovoltaics, battery systems, HVDC systems and STATCOMs. The simulations were conducted to verify the inverter models using various scenarios. These simulations were also performed for comparison in two simulation tools - MODES and PSS/E.
