An Effective Method for Calculating the Scattering Problems of Periodic Targets Buried in a Half-Space

By using layered-medium periodic Green's function (PGF), the problems of electromagnetic scattering from periodic targets which are buried in a half-space are favorably figured out. However, the PGF has the characteristics of high oscillation and slow convergence. For this reason, the acceleration method which is called Ewald is introduced into the process of solving the PGF. Numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of this method in solving this problem.
