Parallel FDTD Analysis of the Effect of Equivalence on the Field Characteristics of low Altitude Explosion Ground Source Region

This paper analyzes the numerical simulation results of low altitude nuclear explosion electromagnetic pulses on the same monitoring point in the ground source area based on the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method in the case of hydrogen bomb explosions with different powers. In response to the high computational complexity and low computational efficiency of such electromagnetic problems, this paper adopts a parallel FDTD algorithm based on multi-threaded OpenMP, and verifies the feasibility and efficiency of the parallel method through numerical examples. The calculation results show that: 1. Equivalent changes will affect the field values of ground source area monitoring points, and the electromagnetic field strength increases with the increase of explosion power, but the peak field strength and explosion power show non-linear changes. 2. After adopting parallel computing, using 90 CPU cores increased the efficiency of single computation by about 25.84 times, greatly improving computational efficiency.
