Simulation of a Film Resistor Integrated Water-Based Absorber Using the HIE-FDTD Method

This paper analyzes the impedance characteristics of a water-based electromagnetic (EM) absorber. The conditions required for absorption functionality are discussed. The hybrid implicit-explicit finite difference time domain (HIE-FDTD) method was utilized for rapid calculations of the absorber, and dispersive media and resistance models were introduced to the HIE method. Finally, a broadband water-based absorber incorporating a film resistor structure is presented.
