Design of A Wideband Conformal OAM Array Antenna

The congestion issue of spectrum resources can be effectively addressed by orbital angular momentum (OAM). A novel broadband OAM array antenna is designed, where a conformal array structure generates vortex electromagnetic beams by applying equal amplitude but different phase excitations to the array antenna units. According to the electromagnetic simulation results, the antenna can radiate OAM beams with 6 different modes, and the relative bandwidth reaches 14.31%, making it practically valuable in certain scenarios.
