An Active Intelligent Metasurface with Polarization Insensitivity

In order to solve practical engineering problems and solve the problem that the traditional intelligent metasurface working band is narrow and sensitive to the polarization direction of incident wave, a classic patch type polarimetric insensitive active metasurface was designed. This paper first introduces the basic structure of this metasurface and the implementation theory of 1-bit phase. Then, according to the calculation results of the 3D electromagnetic field simulation software CST, the influential parameters of the metasurface and its theory are analyzed. Based on the result, a method to optimize the reflection amplitude and oblique incidence performance is proposed. The result shows that, the metasurface has polarization insensitivity, high reflection amplitude, stable oblique incidence performance, and 1-bit phase adjustment in the operating frequency band.
