An Ultra-wideband Absorber Design Based on 2D and 3D structure

An ultra-wideband absorber structure with two dimensional(2D) open square ring and three dimensional(3D) cross square ring is designed. The structure is composed of an open ring resistance film and a ring resistance film to form a 2D absorbing matching layer, four crossed square ring resistance film structure to form a 3D microwave absorption layer, and finally a metal plate to form a microwave reflection layer. The results show that the structure can achieve more than 90% absorption in the range of 1.34-18.91GHz, and the fractional bandwidth can reach 173.5%. For TM-polarized incidence, it can maintain an absorptivity of more than 90% in 2.24 - 17.49 GHz till 75°. According to the research status of 2D and 3D absorber structure, this structure can provide a new design idea of 2D structure combined with 3D absorber.
