A PDF Approximation Formula for Amplitude of Rectangular Components of E-Field in a Probabilistic Statistical Model of Reverberation Chamber

A more generalized probabilistic statistical model simulating the multipath fading electromagnetic environment in reverberation chamber has been proposed recently, which is super-position of the
$M$
plane waves with strong amplitude and the N-M plane waves with weak amplitude. But it has difficulty in obtaining a closed-form solution for the probability density function (PDF) of the amplitude of the rectangular component of the electric field. This paper proposes to approximate the theoretical PDF of the amplitude of the rectangular component of the electric field with the formula of the Rician distribution under the condition of M > 5, and the approximation formula is verified by MC simulations and data fitting.
