A Downward-Looking 3-D SAR Based on Microwave Coincidence Imaging

A Downward-Looking 3-D synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system based on Microwave Coincidence Imaging (MCI) is proposed in this paper. The 3-D SAR utilizing a Downward-looking linear array has received widespread attention and research. The MCI, as an innovative radar imaging technique, has the potential to enhance both imaging resolution and resistance to interference. The 3-D SAR leverages the MCI is proposed to enhance its imaging capabilities. First, an imaging model of the MCI-SAR is established. Then the resolution of the MCI-SAR system is derived using the basic correlation algorithm. The analysis and method is validated by the simulation.
