Recent Advances in Safety Technologies for Wireless Power Transfer Applications

This paper presents the recent advancements in Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology, along with the associated safety issues and solutions. The WPT technology, which transmits power without traditional wires, is being applied in various fields, such as smartphones, medical equipment, and electric vehicles. However, with the proliferation of WPT technology, safety concerns such as exposure to electromagnetic fields, heat generation, and interference between devices have emerged. Therefore, this paper introduces the latest research trends related to the safety of WPT and technological advancements aimed at enhancing safety, and proposes future research directions. This paper provides an understanding of the safety aspects of WPT technology and can be used as a foundational resource for the design and implementation of safe WPT systems.
