Applicability of optical sensors in packaging tasks

This paper presents a robotic application designed to facilitate sensor collaboration focusing on the detection and verification of correct box closure. The primary objective of this study is to assess the feasibility of integrating BALLUFF's sensors with Mitsubishi's collaborative robot, Melfa ASSISTA. The main purpose of this app is to serve as a role model for expanding collaborative workspaces to improve understanding in robotics, mechatronics, and related fields. The emphasis is on verifying the seamless integration of sensors in the context of a collaborative robotic environment. This plays a key role in supporting the development of knowledge and expertise in the complexly interconnected fields of inquiry, making a significant and notable contribution to the ongoing development and improvement of understanding in these diverse and interrelated fields of study.
