Implementation of Laboratory Exercises in the Process of Teaching the Subject of Electrical Circuits

Any study program established on Electrical Engineering must include Electrical Circuit Theory. A well-written practical guide supplemented by practical exercises fills in the gaps between theory and practice for students. This article deals with implementing laboratory exercises on the subject of Electrical Circuits for students in the 1st year of their bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. The article describes the teaching practice in these newly introduced laboratory exercises. The history of teaching the subject in faculty is long. Over the years, it has undergone many changes. Electrical circuits are a critical profile subject at the faculty level, and it is a fundamental element of many subsequent courses. The subject is taught in the winter semester of the first year of bachelor's studies. We analyse the new teaching process after the new accreditation, as well as experiences with laboratory exercises and feedback from students after the first semester of teaching the subject, representing the basis of the knowledge portfolio of FEIT UNIZA students. The attractiveness of laboratory exercises in the subject for students is ensured by the new equipment of the laboratory and the creation of new tasks.
