Iterative Method for Estimating the Parameters of a Linear Transformer Model

The equivalent circuit of the transformer is an abstract model that describes the real behavior of the transformer. Today, several equivalent circuits are known. The most well-known are the T-equivalent circuit and the

-equivalent circuit that derives from it. Parameters are typically estimated by nameplate nominal parameters, short-circuit, open-circuit measurements, etc. In this procedure, the simplifications used introduce inaccuracies into the estimate. This paper describes an iterative method that minimizes inaccuracy.
