DC/DC Converter Architecture for Use of Second-Life Batteries

This scientific article focuses on the architecture of DC/DC converters for the utilization of second-life batteries. The introduction provides general information on the topic. It then addresses two main methods of arranging DC/DC converters: series and parallel. Each section discusses the advantages, challenges, and technical aspects of the respective approach. Subsequently, significant topologies of bidirectional converters, such as the Dual Active Bridge (DAB) and non-isolated buck-boost converter, are described and discussed.
