A fluorescent sensor array for ketoprofen assessment

The development of all-solid-state optical sensors based on PVC polymeric membranes doped with polyamine receptor bearing pyrene fluorogenic groups for the assessment of non-opioid analgesic ketoprofen, KF, in aqueous media is reported. The analytical characteristics of KF-selective optodes were improved significantly through accurate tuning of sensing material composition, selection of the appropriate solid support material, and understanding the fluorophore functioning mechanism.
