New Strategy of Performing Dynamic Resistance Measurement on Resistor and Reactor Load Tap Changers

This paper will intend to demonstrate a new strategy based on experiences learned from performing dynamic resistance measurement on various load tap changers (resistor and reactor types) for utilities and other substation asset owners. This new strategy of assessing load tap changers by performing dynamic resistance measurement can determine the condition of tap changers accurately before opening the tap changer for inspection.
