Principal Component Analysis Application to Development of a Soda Recovery Boiler Diagnostic System

Detection and identification of possible emergency situations to ensure the safe and trouble-free operation of a soda recovery boiler is among the current scientific and technological problems of the boiler system. The authors use the principal component analysis for solving the problem. The development of a real time operating diagnostic system allowed not only identifying deviations from the normal course of the soda recovery boiler process at its early stages but also determining their reasons and putting forward proposals for operational process control in order to eliminate these deviations.
