Analysis and Calculation of Damage from Power Line Failures in Urban and Rural Power Grids

In the course of the work analyzed the causes of emergency outages of 10, 110 kV transmission lines for urban consumers of the Magnitogorsk energy hub. In the course of the work the number of outages, as well as the reasons that caused these outages were estimated, and then the calculation of reliability parameters for nine years in the period from 2013– 2022 was carried out. A methodology for estimating the impact of the number of line failures on damages is proposed. The authors made a calculation using this methodology and analyzed the damages of consumers on the real data on the power unit. Based on the results of the work, conclusions on optimization of costs for maintenance and repair of these lines are made.
