Energy Efficiency of Using Heat-Reflecting Screens with Solar Photovoltaic Panels in Windows

The article presents the design of an energy-efficient shutter consisting of metal heat-reflecting screens and a solar photovoltaic battery. This energy-efficient shutter, when used in windows on the environmental side, not only significantly reduces heat loss through the window, but also generates electrical energy. A diagram and photograph of the installation of the automated control system for the operation of a heat-reflecting screen with a solar battery in the windows is presented. The paper presents the results of simulation of the process of heat transfer through a window with the energy-efficient shutter, and also determines the amount of electrical energy generated in a solar battery, if it is used in windows in an existing building of a full-scale simulator of a nuclear power plant control panel. Simulation was performed using the finite element method. Verification of the simulation model of the heat transfer process through a window with screens was carried out by comparison with the results of the physical experiment conducted in a climate chamber.
