Research of the Wind Asynchrony Impact on the Efficiency Indicators of the Wind Power Complex in the Rostov Region

This paper discusses enhancing the reliability of wind farms within the interconnected system by consolidating them into wind power complexes (WPCs), establishing energy, infrastructure, and information links. The goal is to optimize power generation and effectively manage the energy system. Through a study focused on determining the optimal configuration of a WPC, considering the asynchrony of wind resource inflow to individual sites, the research reveals that a four-plant wind farms complex in the Rostov region of the Southern ICS power system generates about 6% of its installed power with a 90% probability. This underscores the importance of leveraging asynchrony in wind resource inflow to enhance overall WPC efficiency. The paper emphasizes the influence of site remoteness and geophysical differences on the generated power in high-probability wind farms complexes (90%) and proposes a rank-based iterative approach for multi-criteria optimization. This method proves valuable in designing WPCs with both high efficiency and reliability, contributing to the sustainable development of the energy sector.
