Ensuring the Required Voltage Level for Consumers of the Circum-Baikal Railway Section

The article discusses the solution to current problems in 6–10 kV networks and low-voltage electricity consumers powered from them: tourist and residential facilities located along the Circum-Baikal Railway. It was shown that the power supply of objects is carried out from two substations via 6 kV voltage lines with self-supporting insulated wires. A simulation of one of the sections 'power supply system was carried out in order to find the optimal modernization option, which was done on the basis of the program for carrying out engineering calculations: “Calculations of modes and load capacity of power supply systems in phase coordinates” - Fazonord. Several options for measures to strengthen the power supply system of the study area are proposed, based on monitoring the voltage level, reducing its losses on the side of the consumer of electrical energy, allowing to solve the problem of ensuring standard indicators of power quality. Ensuring the standard voltage level was achieved by installing a 10 kV power transmission line and by increasing the cross-section of the wire in the area under study, which will increase the voltage of end consumers to the permissible level according to regulatory and technical documentation.
