Two-Phase Power Converter for Electrodynamic Vibration System

A two-phase power converter for powering an electrodynamic vibration system is considered. It has a two-phase output voltage with pulse width modulation with carrier frequency of 3200 Hz, which provides a sine wale of the output current. In such converter, electromagnetic transients at the carrier frequency are very difficult to describe mathematically. An analytical solution for transients is proposed based on taking into account only the first harmonic of the output voltage, which has a frequency range from 10 to 100 Hz. This approach significantly simplifies the analytical solution of transients. The obtained analytical solution was tested on a developed computer simulation using the Sim Power Systems package, which calculates the transition processes in power converters with the greatest accuracy. Using the obtained analytical solution and a computer simulation, the PC150 YHL power converter was developed according to the specified technical requirements. The values of currents and voltages in transients obtained as a result of testing and using an analytical solution differ by no more than 4,3%, and using a computer simulation, they differ by no more than 2,3%.
