Analysis of the Effectiveness of Using a Synchronous Generator with Integrated Torque Transformer

The article provides a brief analysis of research in the field of synchronous generators with an integrated torque transformer, identifies promising areas of their application, formulates characteristic problems that arise in their development. The design of the magnetic system of a synchronous generator with an integrated torque transformer has been carried out, which allows obtaining a high specific torque compared to known solutions of direct drive generators. The results of numerical static and dynamic modeling of a 100 kW power generator by the finite element method are presented. Specific material consumption indicators have been calculated - the maximum electromagnetic moment per unit volume of the magnetic system and the maximum electromagnetic moment per unit mass of permanent magnets.
