Parallel Calculation of π in NoCs Using a Remote Testbed

This article describes the possibility of parallel computing in networks-on-chip (NoCs). The NoC is considered as a MPSoC, which is a multiprocessor system whose processors are combined into a single network. The problem of calculation of π is used for testing the system. The implementation of multiple precision arithmetic which allows calculating the value ofπ with any given accuracy is described. The calculation of π by the Monte-Carlo method is presented. The experiment was carried out using a specialized hardware-software complex in the mode of a remote testbed. The results of calculation of π are considered.
