Automated Fertigation in an Aquaponic Scheme for Precise Nutrient Management: Case Study in Morocco

This paper presents an automated fertigation in an aquaponics setup focusing on precise nutrient management. It discusses the optimization of fish and plant growth by regulation of parameters such as water quality, feeding schedule, and accuracy of nutrient delivery. Furthermore, this paper incorporates intelligent monitoring of factors such as pH levels, dissolved oxygen, and nutrient availability to precisely calculate and administer the optimal amount of water and nutrients essential for both plants and fish. In addition, this paper discusses the regulation of the amount of nutrients required in an aquatic system to obtain a specific amount of fertilizer. Finally, the paper presents a case study, demonstrating the proposed system, with a detailed cost analysis.
