A Partition-Computing Mechatronics Dynamics Modeling for Superconducting Electrodynamic Suspension and the Analysis on the Discrete-Track Irregularity

Superconducting electrodynamic suspension (EDS) is one of the potential schemes for high-speed rail transit. However, the electrodynamic dynamics modeling and the characterization of the irregularity of discretely distributed null-flux coils are great challenges. In this study, a partition-computing mechatronics dynamics model that can reflect high-frequency vibration and self-excited vibration is established. The design of frame spacing, irregularity, and load spectrum is studied by our model, which cannot be calculated by the linear models before. First, it is recommended that the frame spacing is greater than 12.6 m to ensure the same levitation performance of the frame. Second, the equivalent geometric irregularity model is established according to the geometric position of discretely distributed coils. The main source of vibration is the mid-long wave for geometric irregularity. According to the measured coils, the electrical parameters obey the normal distribution. The inductance irregularity, as the greatest impact of circuit irregularity, will cause relatively severe vibration. The standard deviation of the inductance of the engineering coil is recommended to be below $4.68~10^{-6}$ H. In addition, the load spectrum increases by 24%–76% compared with the design value.
