Prescribed Performance Control of Two-Stage Chemical Reactor System With Delayed Recycle Streams

The focus of this study is on the issue of tracking control for the two-stage chemical reactor system with delayed recycle streams, in which the time delays are time-varying, heterogeneous and their derivatives can be greater than 1. To tackle this issue, we introduce an innovative prescribed performance control approach and establish the framework built on the constraint analysis by contradiction. It does not use the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals or the Razumikhin function. It removes the assumptions on the time delay that its bound is known, its bounding function is partially known, and its derivatives is less than 1. The introduced control scheme ensures reference tracking with predetermined overshoot, speed and accuracy. It also eliminates the need for parameter identification, function approximation and command filtering. The outcomes of simulation substantiate the availability and advantages of this study.
