Prescribed-time Non-overshooting Tracking Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

This study proposes the prescribed-time non-overshooting tracking scheme for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). Considering the nonlinear nature of the motor’s torque and the interaction between rotational speed and current, the establishment of the prescribed-time non-overshooting tracking control strategy for PMSM involves numerous challenges. By utilizing barrier functions associated with the desired signal and restrained boundaries and incorporating a subtle time-varying function related with the instant prescribed time, we devise new continuous state-feedback tracking control strategy including prescribed-time non-overshooting direct axis current tracking scheme and prescribed-time non-overshooting position tracking controller. Compared with the current results of PMSM, the new tracking scheme assures that the tracking error converges to the orgin within a instant of the prescribed time and achieving the guaranteed performance which is featured by non-overshooting tracking error and inviolate output asymmetric time-varying constraints. At last, simulations results demonstrate the practicality of the presented scheme.
