Mathematical Method for Determining the Main Characteristics of Gas and Steam Turbines of a Single-shaft Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Unit

One of the difficulties arising in processing the results of thermal tests of single-shaft combined cycle gas turbine units (CCGTs) is the separation of the generated electric power of the CCGT between the gas turbine (GT) and the steam turbine (ST). The paper proposes a method of determining these capacities based on mathematical methods. Correlation equations for calculating the value of electric power of GT and PT are compiled. To obtain the correlation coefficients, the experimental data of GT tests at operation as part of a single-shaft combined cycle gas turbine CCGT with a steam turbine disconnected from the generator were involved. The obtained equations were compared with the test results, which indicate the suitability of the equation for determining the values of electric power of GT and ST.
