Informatization of Strategic Research Management

The article is devoted to current issues of informatization of strategic management of the scientific field in engineering education at the operational level. The article reflects the relationship between the scientific sphere and engineering education, and also provides the tracks of digital transformation of higher engineering education in the Russian Federation, one of which is the “digital university” track. One of the main objectives of this project is to monitor scientific activity and related processes. This study showed the need to ensure informatization and the introduction of digital technologies in the implementation of the strategy of scientific activities of departments in order to maintain the competitiveness of universities implementing areas of engineering education. The developed informatization security of the methodology for ranking the performance of departments in the scientific field will allow us to quickly solve problems that arise on the way to ensuring the competitiveness of technical universities.
