Methodology for Determining Professional Personality Traits of Future Engineers

The article discusses the methodology for determining professional inclinations. The technique includes three stages. Each stage is aimed at a specific age group of students. The work is built on a partnership between people and machine learning, combining human-centered values aimed at creating a digital ecosystem within the framework of the Industry 5.0 concept. At the first stage, a model of a recommender system with the use of artificial intelligence is presented. The most significant areas of knowledge that the student needs to pay attention to in order to develop his inclinations and become an engineer with basic skills in the process of understanding the world and the required imagination are taken into account as well. The disciplinary model of individual professional orientation of a personality is given at the second stage, as well as a description of his/her evaluation scales. At the third stage, within the framework of a model of comprehensive career guidance for students, the physiological inclinations and abilities of an engineer’s personality are revealed. A definition of the professional potentials of an engineer’s personality is given on the basis of the results totality of the three stages. Based on the methodology discussed in the article, the Profvektorium software package was developed.
