Implementation of Fault Tolerance in Cyber Range Orchestration System Based on Indigenous Software

This article focuses on the implementation of fault tolerance in cyber range orchestration systems using indigenous software. It emphasizes the increasing necessity for fault tolerance in cyber ranges, particularly in the context of heightened cyber threats and the mandate for technological independence in critical information infrastructure, as outlined in a decree by the Russian Federation. The research highlights the importance of fault tolerance in maintaining continuous operation despite failures, and explores key strategies like load balancing, data backup and replication, system scaling, and the use of indigenous software technologies. The article also discusses the methodologies for assessing the fault tolerance of a cyber range, such as the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and the Mean Time To Failure (MTTF).
