Educational Software Package “Calculation of the Photovoltaic Module Output”

This article describes a software package for several types of calculations needed in solar energetics: solar energy calculation; modeling an array of hourly total and diffuse solar irradiance values for given point for arbitrary oriented surface and calculating single PV module operating mode with or without taking in account temperature effect. Calculations implemented in software package are required during engineering both large grid-connected solar PV power plants and solar PV units within energy complexes. Described software’s set-in databases, list of the targeted tasks and assumptions. Also, provided information about future software’s improvements and its usage in education process or applied research.
