Study of Induction Current Density Distributions in a Two-layer and Three-layer Medium of Protective Coatings of Steel Parts Using Information Technology

The article discusses an integrated approach to mathematical modeling and research of electromagnetic field parameters in a two-layer and three-layer conductive medium during induction heating of a cylindrical steel part with melting of the conductive coating using information technology, which provides for a joint consideration of the processes occurring in the induction heating device and in the part with a conductive coating. The surface distributions of current density in the coating and top layer of a steel part located inside a three-turn inductor were obtained. The current density distributions were obtained in an induction heating device and in a part with a conductive coating. An analysis of the distribution of current density along the depth of the coating and part at a frequency of 66 kHz was carried out, taking into account different temperatures and magnetic properties of the part and coating at different times of induction heating, taking into account two Curie points and heating modes of a two-layer and three-layer body. The advantages of this approach to the consideration and study of induction heating processes and devices are presented.
