Prospects for the Software Using for Modeling Water Treatment Processes in the Specialists Training in the Field of Technosphere Safety

The article discusses the issue of improving the quality of the educational process of students studying in the field of “Technosphere Safety” at the National Research University “MPEI”. The problems that arise for students when studying courses related to water purification are analyzed. The feasibility of using special software for modeling the water purification process and individual purification devices is shown. Popular software products currently used in practice in the design and operation of wastewater treatment plants are considered. The capabilities of modern software systems that can be useful in the educational process of bachelor’s and master’s degrees are shown. Examples of Russian software products are given that can be used in the educational process of training environmental specialists.
