BeOAC: Blockchain-enabled offline audit scheme in cross-chain interaction

With the development of blockchain in recent years, it has found various applications in different fields. Nevertheless, the isolated nature and significant heterogeneity between different blockchains pose challenges for data exchange, impeding the progress of blockchain technology. To solve this issue, numerous cross-chain technologies are proposed. However, most of these cross-chain technologies concentrate on implementing cross-chain mechanisms, while neglecting the crucial aspect of ensuring data consistency during cross-chain interactions. Moreover, in scenarios with large data volumes and tight time constraints, existing cross-chain data consistency auditing schemes cannot complete the audit quickly. This leads to data users having to wait for a period of time to access the data. To address these problems, this paper proposes a blockchain-enabled offline audit scheme in cross-chain interaction(BeOAC) based on governing the chain by chain. The scheme uses non-interactive evidence generation and validation to support offline auditing, allowing users to quickly obtain the desired data. In addition, the scheme uses bilinear aggregation technology to enable batch auditing of data, improving cross-chain data auditing efficiency. Through theoretical and experimental analysis, it is proved that the scheme can verify the integrity of data in cross-chain interactions, achieving the functions of batch auditing. Besides, it protects the private data of users based on achieving secure and accurate cross-chain data sharing.
