Basic Datalogger for SAPV system

This paper proposes the design, implementation, and performance evaluation of an integrated datalogger for standalone Photovoltaic (SAPV) systems utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm. An Arduino microcontroller is deployed for real-time monitoring, control and data acquisition, addressing the need for efficient energy management in remote and off-grid locations. The IoT-enabled datalogger facilitates seamless communication between the PV system components and a remote server for remote monitoring and analysis. This paper elaborates how the MPPT tracker assisted boost converter incorporated in the SAPV system optimizes the power extraction from the solar panels, ensuring maximum energy harvest under varying environmental conditions using MATLAB Simulink.
