Emotion Recognizing Interactive Smart Bot using Ravdess Dataset

This article presents a significant foray into the development of an Interactive AI-infused chatbot tailored for mental health treatment. Leveraging Python’s speech-to-text capabilities, the system captures user emotions from voice inputs. The Ryerson Audio-Visual Database of Emotional Speech and Song (RAVDESS) dataset underwent rigorous training and testing, enabling the creation of a pre-trained model that is trained using TensorFlow that facilitated the creation and optimization of the neural network model, enabling the recognition of emotions from audio data, as demonstrated by the RAVDESS dataset training process. This model interprets emotions derived from voice inputs, allowing the chatbot, powered by ChatterBot and additional Python libraries, to engage in empathetic conversations. It offers consoling replies and suggests activities to enhance the user’s mental wellbeing. Real-time audio processing heightens the system’s responsiveness. This innovative fusion of AI and machine learning marks a significant advancement in mental health treatment approaches. The project aims to comprehensively alleviate depression symptoms, addressing attrition and loss of follow-up, providing a holistic solution. The chatbot’s capabilities are designed to enhance accessibility, ensuring users receive consistent support and companionship in their mental health journey.
