Abstract:
The Smart Shoe for people with Parkinson’s uses cutting-edge technology to address the problem of Freezing of Gait (FOG). It tracks foot pressure distribution in real time, providing insight into gait dynamics, by utilizing an FSR400 pressure sensor in the insole in conjunction with an ESP8266 microcontroller for effective data processing and communication. In addition to improving movement and concentration, a vibration motor offers tactile feedback during episodes of frontal lobe epilepsy. Through a mobile app, users and caregivers may adjust settings, analyze gait patterns, and receive early notifications for possible FOG episodes with this all-inclusive solution. When FOG is detected, the vibration motor helps to resume walking, and the laser light module enhances stability by projecting a visible line to guide feet on the ground The Smart Shoe is a wearable gadget that combines several technologies to improve safety and independence for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, allowing them to move confidently about their environment.
