Demonstration of Bone conductive Hearing Device

In human anatomy, an ear is divided into three regions namely outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. The sound signals from the external environment are sensed by the organ of auditory by traversing through the ear canal. These signals are captured by the ear drum and then it gets vibrated in the ear drum i.e., sound signals are converted into vibrations with the help of the ear drum. These vibrations travel through the middle ear and reaches the inner ear cochlea where the organ of auditory is present. There, it is converted into electrical impulses and brain process these impulses and we hear. This is the normal conduction of sound signals via air medium. Devices that work under the principle of bone conduction technology are called Bone conduction hearing devices. Bone conduction device uses the bone as a medium to transmit the sound signals rather using air as a medium. These devices can be used by all people irrespective of people having impairment in outer or middle ear. People having functional inner ear can be benefitted by this device.
