Research on Active Control Algorithm of Impulse Noise in Excavator Cab

To address the issue of suboptimal control of pulse noise generated by the working apparatus inside the excavator cab, this study proposes an improved normalized filtering least mean square algorithm (NEFxatanSLMS). The algorithm is based on a sigmoid cost function and incorporates a nonlinear transformation function in the form of an inverse tangent to compress the error signal. Comparative analysis with several other algorithms demonstrates the superior convergence and stability of NEFxatanSLMS, particularly in the presence of pulse interference. Additionally, extensive computer simulations were conducted to measure the internal noise within the excavator under actual operating conditions. The results indicate that the proposed NEFxatanSLMS algorithm effectively mitigates pulse noise in the excavator cab.
