Analysis and Comparison of Approaches for Anonymous Cross-Chain Proofs of Membership

Modern online platforms often integrate user feedback mechanisms to enhance their services and products. However, ensuring the authenticity and anonymity of feedback contributors remains a challenge. Proof-of-membership protocols are designed to enable users to leave anonymous feedback with an authenticity guarantee that the user belongs to the allowed group. These protocols combine cryptographic techniques and privacy-preserving mechanisms to allow users to prove their membership within a specific group without revealing their identity. By leveraging them, platforms can mitigate spam, fake feedback, and Sybil attacks, thereby enhancing the credibility of user feedback. Therefore, we address the challenge of researching and comparing various methodologies for building anonymous proof-of-membership systems.
