Reaction-Diffusion Cycles Induced by Temperature Gradient Applied to Harvesting Wasted Energy

The intention of this paper, is to shed light on chemical reaction-diffusion phenomenology occurred in non-equilibrium state by an imposed gradient of temperature. Further, the challenge is to investigate the effects of kinetic and thermodynamic parameters on potential differences generated. Furthermore, to realize the goals and challenges of this study, the governing problem is described by first order reaction-diffusion equations based on Arrhenius’ law—with chemical diffusion. Thereafter, an open source code under general public license (GPL) called (XMDS 2) is adopted to resolve the equations associated with the phenomenology studied in this work. Moreover, a theoretical approach is incorporated by illustrating the advantage of compartment model in describing the reaction-diffusion cycles analysis, and validating the numerical integration in the presence of Heaviside temperature gradient. Finally, the objective herein is to assess the intensity potential difference generated, and their spatial distributions versus different kinetic and thermodynamics parameters in the presence of Heaviside gradient of temperature.
