Automatic Collection System for Medical Consultation

The increasing demand for medical consultations, coupled with the growing population and the detection of new pandemics such as Covid-19, has put a strain on hospitals and physicians. New technologies, like IoT, AI etc., can help to optimize consultations and relieve physicians and nurses of some of their manual more advanced tasks. In this work we developed an IoT -Based device called, Smart Medical Gate (SMG) that uses sensors to automatically collect physiological data from patients and store them in to a dedicated database (It could be on a Health Information System (HIS) of the facility or on a cloud). In this work we store the data collected by the SMG on a cloud. The data is then made available to health professional, allowing them to quickly access it to facilitate the consultation process. The SMG can also be used for teleconsultations, which can help to reduce the need for in-person appointments to avoid contaminations in Covid-19 pandemic or other pandemic and also this is especially beneficial for patients who live in rural areas or who have difficulty traveling. By automating the collection of patient data and making it more ac-accessible to physicians, the SMG can help to improve the efficiency of medical consultations. It will allow the medical professionals to focus on patient care as well as moral and psychological support, something that no machine in the world can do until now.
