Route Planning for Intelligent Agents Based on Improved A * Algorithm

Aiming at solving the problems of route planning in large-scale maps, a route planning algorithm for intelligent agents based on improved A* was studied. The algorithm has been improved in route safety and the planning efficiency. By expanding the safety area of obstacles to ensure the safety of the route. An environment adaptive prediction function based on obstacle distribution density information is proposed to improve search efficiency, and a direction guidance term is introduced to the evaluation function to cut off redundant route to improve search efficiency. The verification simulation is conducted, and the simulation results showed that the improved algorithm effectively improved the efficiency of route planning, and the quality of the planed route was also improved.
