Extended Reality Adoption in Moroccan Sports Institutes: A Vision for FIFA World Cup 2030

As Morocco prepares to host the FIFA World Cup 2030, integrating cutting-edge technology becomes imperative for enhancing sports. Extended Reality (XR) technology emerges as a transformative force, promising novel learning paradigms and enhanced training methodologies in the sports domain. However, its successful adoption hinges on understanding the acceptance and usage patterns among Moroccan sports students. Therefore, this study aims to identify the determinants of XR acceptance in sports, involving a sample of 139 respondents and utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as it sheds light on the reasons behind its adoption and utilization in this domain. The findings demonstrate the positive impact of attitude (ATT) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) on behavioral intention (BI) to employ XR in sports. This study on XR acceptance in sports is crucial for Morocco's sports industry, as it can modernize training techniques, boost athlete performance, and position the country at the forefront of technological advancements in sports education.
