Application of 3D Visualization Technology in the Design of Building Construction Models

With the continuous construction of digital cities, 3D digital building construction models play an important role in urban planning, and research on building model design based on 3D visualization technology is becoming increasingly important. In the construction of the entire building construction model, how to improve modeling efficiency and improve the error of construction project quantities is currently a key issue that needs to be urgently solved. This article analyzed the application of 3D visualization technology in architecture and used Revit software design in BIM (Building Information Modeling) system. Based on the operation and specific content of data processing and parameterization families, the following conclusions were drawn through discussion based on the data results: The 3D visualization building models established using Revit on the six selected building project samples improved in terms of engineering quantity error, and the overall average error size decreased by 5.1 %. At the same time, the modeling efficiency was also improved, and the overall average improvement was about 6.7
