Reliability Assessment of Target Recognition Task Based on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Simulation System

Target recognition is a fundamental and crucial task in numerous applications of unmanned aerial vehicles (UA Vs). Analyzing and assessing the reliability of UAVs in executing target recognition tasks plays a pivotal role in furthering the development of UAV technology. Therefore, this paper proposes a reliability analysis and assessment method for target recognition tasks based on a UAV simulation system. First, a comprehensive analysis of the software and hardware components essential for UAVs to perform target recognition tasks is involved, including sensors, flight control systems, cameras, and target recognition algorithms. Then, the impact of external interferences on UAV flight attitudes, camera imaging, and target recognition performance is investigated. Through a comparative calculation under normal conditions, the relevant indicators reflecting target recognition capabilities is established, which can be use to evaluate the reliability of UAV target recognition tasks. This approach addresses the current challenge of a lack of effective reliability metrics and assessment methods for UA V missions.
